Briton Refrigerant R507A
Briton refrigerant R507A is an azeotropic HFC mixture. It has replaced refrigerant R502 in low and medium temperature applications. R507A has a wide range of applications, and it is also suitable for wet evaporation systems. It has good heat transfer properties in the context of condensation.
Due to its high GWP value, however, a swift end to the use of R507A has been demanded (AREA, ASERCOM, EFCTC, EPEE), as is the case with R404A. Upon continued use, there is a risk of continued price increases and further decline in the availability of HFC refrigerants.
Application & Use
It has been used in commercial refrigeration equipment, refrigeration and freezing systems, ice track systems and heat pumps.
