Briton Refrigerant R1270

Briton Refrigerant R1270 (Propylene)

C3H6

Briton Refrigerant R1270, is refrigerant grade propylene (propene), a natural, or “not in kind”, refrigerant suitable for use in low and medium temperature refrigeration applications. It is non-toxic, with zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and very low GWP (Global Warming Potential). R1270 is a flammable refrigerant and therefore not suitable for retrofitting existing fluorocarbon refrigerant systems. Briton Refrigerant R1270 (Propylene ) is supplied as a liquid under its own vapour pressure in cylinders and in T50 ISO containers for international transport as well as road trailers and rail cars. It is generally used in commercial and industrial refrigeration applications such as LNG liquefaction and is a replacement for R22 and R502.
